What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing where pigment is manually deposited into the skin using individual strokes that mimic natural looking eyebrow hairs.
Qualifications?I’m a certified microblading technician trained through the most rigorous and extensive program in Canada at the Micro Pigmentation Centre using quality tools and pigments that are FDA approved.
Who is a good candidate for microblading?
This specialized technique is for anyone who wishes to enhance eyebrow definition, increase the look of density, extend the eyebrows, or fully reconstruct the shape of the brows. Each microblading stroke is applied individually, allowing me to control the shape, colour, and density of the brows.
What is the procedure like and how long does it take?
It’s a two-step procedure with an initial appointment (approx. 2 hours) and one follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks later (approx. 1 hour) to perfect the eyebrows. At the initial visit I consult with you to create the desired shape and microblading is performed using a customized pigment to complement your unique hair and skin tone. At the follow-up appointment the healing is assessed and more strokes are added to perfect the density and colour.
Does it hurt?
Topical anesthetic is applied to each eyebrow area for your comfort before microblading. You may experience some discomfort and some clients have reported feeling no discomfort at all.
How does it heal?
Immediately after the service there may be slight redness and tenderness to the brow area that should resolve itself within the first 24 hours. You do not need to take any time off work as your eyebrows go through the 10-14 day healing process. Post-care instructions will be thoroughly explained and a protective balm is provided to you for your at-home care.
How long does it last?
Untouched, the ink will last from 1-3 years before fading. It is normal for strokes to become less defined over time. Schedule a renewal appointment every 12 months to maintain the colour and definition of the strokes.
What can I expect of the results?
Individual results will vary depending on your skin type and your post-care regimen.
